Line 6 announces Pod Farm 2.0 at Musicmeese 2010
Not to sound like a line 6 ad – but this could be pretty big news for people who, like me, are interested in laptop solutions for performance.
The big news here is full midi support. It looks like you could run a 2 rigs simultaneously (up to 20 effects in any order!) and control it from a midi controller. Nothing on the line 6 sit yet but some news here.
It’ll be interesting to a/b this with something like Logic 9′s amp designer.
I’m a big fan of amps – but in the real world of portable gigging – being able to go overseas with just a laptop, a controller and a guitar would be huge for me.
No word on new effects/latency/or a looping function. But that could be what sooperlooper‘s for anyway.
